SUEÑOS DULCES “Sweet Dreams” DECAF PDF Print E-mail

Decaf "Sweet Dreams" CoffeeUnlike decaffeinated coffees using chemical or CO2 processes to remove caffeine, our artisan crafted Mexican Mountain Water Process decaf is the result of  small-batch roasting and a unique, natural decaffeination process using pure, glacial runoff from Mexico’s highest mountains (17,000’-18,000’ above sea level).

Green coffee beans are immersed in this pure mountain water to extract caffeine, which is then filtered out without removing the coffee’s flavor components. This process results in beans that are 99% caffeine free, with a balanced, full-bodied flavor, nutty sweetness and hint of chocolate and citrus in each cup.

The small-plot, high-altitude, Fair Trade CertifiedTM coffee  that goes into every bag of  our Sueños Dulces “Sweet Dreams” decaf is sustainably grown and produced without chemicals or pesticides. Fair Trade certification ensures that the farmers who grow it are paid fairly and that profits from their harvests are invested back into their own communities to build and support schools, clinics and other projects that increase standards of living and ensure a brighter future for farm families.

COLOMBIA RESERVA ESPECIAL PDF Print E-mail

Coffee: COLOMBIA RESERVA ESPECIAL

Great coffee doesn’t just happen. It’s a process, beginning with the farmers who grow it, and continuing on from there. But it’s the farmer who is the real key to the greatness of this exceptional coffee from Colombia’s famed Bucaramanga region. Our Colombia Reserva Especial from the historic Mesa de los Santos Estate is harvested from heirloom varietal Bourbon plants, originally planted on the estate by Telmo J. Diaz (1840-1932). Don Telmo founded the Mesa de los Santos estate, where he pioneered organic farming methods. Following the tradition of four generations of coffee-growers, this 100% shade-grown coffee is sustainably grown, Bird FriendlyTM and Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM.

The attention to detail and the care that goes into producing this outstanding coffee, coupled with the region’s near-perfect climate and ideal growing conditions,  produces a coffee of exceptional quality.

Our small-batch, artisanal approach to roasting brings out delicate notes of  roasted nuts, cinnamon and a hint of chocolate, producing a smooth, fragrant, full-flavored cup that sweetens as it cools.

Bold Bean Coffee Rosters: Riverkeeper RoastFlowing north for more than 300 miles – from the swamps of south central Florida to the Atlantic Ocean at Mayport – the St. Johns River is the crown jewel of Northeast Florida, and indeed one of America’s great natural treasures. It provides critical habitat for hundreds of species of birds, fish, shellfish, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as boundless recreational opportunities for Floridians and visitors to the state.

But the St. Johns is also a river in peril, as unbridled development continues to put growing pressure on the state’s natural and water resources, impacting the health of the river and threatening it's future.  St. Johns Riverkeeper is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and full-time advocate and “watchdog” for the river, committed to protecting the St. Johns and improving water quality in the river and its tributaries, as well as protecting critical habitat in the St.
Johns River watershed.

Our Riverkeeper Roast – the first of our Coffees for a Cause – is a blend of 100% sustainably grown, Rainforest Alliance Certified™ Central American coffee, dark roasted to bring out the natural sweetness of the high-altitude Arabica beans.

Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farmers demonstrate how a commitment to conservation and responsible land management can help preserve this fragile environment.
