Unlike decaffeinated coffees using chemical or CO2 processes to remove caffeine, our artisan crafted Mexican Mountain Water Process decaf is the result of  small-batch roasting and a unique, natural decaffeination process using pure, glacial runoff from Mexico’s highest mountains (17,000’-18,000’ above sea level).

Green coffee beans are immersed in this pure mountain water to extract caffeine, which is then filtered out without removing the coffee’s flavor components. This process results in beans that are 99% caffeine free, with a balanced, full-bodied flavor, nutty sweetness and hint of chocolate and citrus in each cup.

The small-plot, high-altitude, Fair Trade CertifiedTM coffee  that goes into every bag of  our Sueños Dulces “Sweet Dreams” decaf is sustainably grown and produced without chemicals or pesticides. Fair Trade certification ensures that the farmers who grow it are paid fairly and that profits from their harvests are invested back into their own communities to build and support schools, clinics and other projects that increase standards of living and ensure a brighter future for farm families.
