Ease into the morning with our artful blend of Colombia Huila Supremo and naturally decaffeinated Mexican mountain-grown coffee. Our Mellow Morning HafCaf blend combines the rich, full flavor of Colombian coffee with the nutty sweetness, kiss of chocolate and hint of citrus characteristic of high-altitude Mexican coffees. Together, these two outstanding coffees produce a smooth, flavorful, well-balanced cup – with only half the caffeine of regular roasts. It’s a great way to meet the morning and carry you through the day. The same Mexican Mountain Water Process coffee used to produce our 99% caffeine-free Sueños Dulces “Sweet Dreams” Decaf goes into every bag of Mellow Morning. Unlike decaffeinated coffees using chemical or CO2 processes to remove caffeine, the Mexican Mountain Water Process is a unique, natural decaffeination process using pure, glacial water from Mexico’s highest mountains (17,000’-18,000’ above sea level). Green coffee beans are immersed in this pure mountain water to extract caffeine, which is then filtered out without removing the coffee’s flavor components. By pairing it with Colombia Huila Supremo, we’ve crafted a well-rounded, full-flavored blend, low in caffeine but still offering a light “lift” you won’t get from fully decaffeinated coffee.
