When we think of Spring, we think of cool, damp mornings followed by warm breezy afternoons. The air is fresh, abuzz with life and scented with just-bloomed flowers. In honor of this beautiful season, we’ve created Mariposa, our Spring seasonal. Mariposa is a blend of two African coffees which on their own are spectacular and together sing of fresh fruit, delicate flowers and the exciting vibrancy of the season. Enjoy this coffee while you enjoy the Spring!
Our seasonal blend program is intended to highlight the flavors we can create by blending beautiful, fresh-crop, single-origin coffees. One of the most exciting things about a well-produced and properly-roasted single-origin coffee is the power it has in conveying a sense of place through the flavors in the cup.
When we decided to build a rotating seasonal blend program, we thought of the transcendental and fleeting moments coffee gives us. So, rather than highlighting a place we intend to, through the flavor profiles we build, highlight a specific season or moment in time. Like all of us, these blends will be always evolving. They are a reflection of where we are now and they speak to the feel of the current season. Each seasonal blend will be its own unique blend and have its own name. The blends will be built around flavors we are currently craving and excited about at the roastery.
