Coffee Story
Diego Agudelo is a coffee producer from Casabianca, Tolima, and serves as General Manager of CDNT (Caficultores Diferenciados del Norte del Tolima), a producer-led association founded to help increase quality of coffee in the region and in-turn advance coffee production into a more sustainable business by producing coffees that demand higher premiums.
Working alongside neighboring producers, Diego helps coordinate the association's operations, strengthen quality standards, and build lasting opportunities for coffee growers throughout northern Tolima.
CDNT partners closely with LaREB (La Real Expedición Botánica), our long-time Colombian export partner. LaREB is an independent exporter that shares the association's commitment to transparency, quality, and long-term relationships.
Together, they have created a supply chain that connects small producers directly with specialty roasters around the world while preserving each producer's identity. Rather than disappearing into anonymous regional blends, coffees can be recognized for the individual farms and people behind them.
This lot is composed entirely of Gesha, a variety renowned for its expressive floral aromatics, vibrant citrus, and remarkable elegance. While Gesha has become one of the world's most celebrated coffee varieties, its character is ultimately shaped by the people who grow it. Diego's coffee reflects not only the care taken on his own farm, but also the collaborative spirit that has made Casabianca and the producers of CDNT one of the most respected coffee communities in Colombia.
